Delete your Gryphon account
Gryphon is a product of GoCode.ca. You can delete your Gryphon account and its data in any of three ways.
On the web
- Sign in with your email address and password.
- Enter your password again (and your two-factor code, if you use one) to confirm.
- Choose Delete account, or Leave account if you are a member of someone else's account.
Sign in to delete your account
In the app
On iPhone, iPad or Android, open Settings and choose Delete account (Leave account if you are a member), at the bottom. This is the way to do it if you subscribed in the app without making a login, since there is nothing to sign in to the web with.
By email
Email support@gocode.ca from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. If you subscribed without making a login, say so, and we will tell you how to show us the account is yours.
What is deleted
- If you own the account: the whole account, immediately. That is its people, hosts, services, check history and settings, and every device signed in to it.
- If you are a member: your own login and the devices signed in as you, immediately. The account and its history carry on for everyone else.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your name stays on any outage you acknowledged, as the rest of the account saw it, until that history is deleted after 90 days. This applies only when you leave an account that carries on.
- Copies in our backups expire within 30 days.
- Anonymous app usage counts are not linked to you or your account, so they cannot be found and deleted with it. They are deleted automatically after 13 months.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the store as well, or it will keep renewing. The support page says how. A subscription bought on our website is cancelled with the account, straight away; the time left in the current period is not refunded.
