Gryphon and UptimeRobot, plan for plan.

Both tell you when a website goes down. Here is what each plan includes, side by side, as each company's pricing page states it on October 6, 2026, including where UptimeRobot is the better choice.

Counting the same thing

UptimeRobot counts monitors; Gryphon counts checks, on a number of hosts. One of either is one address, port or test: a website, a certificate, a database port. Each Gryphon plan is set beside the UptimeRobot plan nearest it in what it includes, which is the next one up in price. Prices are a month, in US dollars, billed monthly.

Where Gryphon is the better choice

  • Inside your servers. The agent reports CPU, memory, disk and load, Docker containers and Swarm services, databases on private networks, the age of last night's backup and the result of your own scripts. It connects out to Gryphon, so nothing on the server listens.
  • More for the money. Each plan includes more checks than the UptimeRobot plan above it in price, at its interval or better.
  • Every integration on every plan. Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams and signed webhooks on the smallest plan as on the largest.
  • Your whole team. Five people on Pro and no limit on Teams, with no charge per person.
  • Waking the right person. Whoever is on call hears an alarm through Do Not Disturb; anyone can acknowledge an outage, and the others are told who has it.

Where UptimeRobot is the better choice

  • A free plan. UptimeRobot's Free plan watches 50 monitors every five minutes. Gryphon has no free plan: fourteen days free, and a demo in the app to look around first.
  • Text messages and phone calls. Its paid plans include SMS and voice credits. Gryphon alerts by push, email, its inbox and your team's channels.
  • Longer history. Twelve to twenty-four months on its paid plans, where Gryphon keeps ninety days.
  • Procurement paperwork. UptimeRobot says it has a SOC 2 report for vendor reviews. Gryphon does not.

UptimeRobot's plans as stated on its pricing page on October 6, 2026, which also has a Free plan and Enterprise terms not shown here; Gryphon's as on ours. Plans change, so check both before you decide, and if something here has gone out of date, tell us. UptimeRobot is a trademark of its owner. Gryphon is not affiliated with or endorsed by UptimeRobot.

Fourteen days free. Then from $4.99 a month.

The agent, the dashboard, the apps and every check but the five for Kubernetes are in every plan. The plans differ in how much you watch, how often, from where, and how many people and status pages they include. Compare the plans. Cancel any time.
